The words "lose" and "loose" are often misused in writing. So, here are some tips to remember how to spell each word correctly.
  • Lose (sounds like snoo
  • ze) is a verb. This word means that you are unable to find someone or something. Here's an example: "I'm going to lose my mind."
  • Loose (sounds like moose) is usually an adjective. This word means not held together. Here's an example: "His pants are too loose."
Check out this racing video which demonstrates how "loose" and "lose" should be used.
